Our celebration plans for the evening very different from most I think.  We were doing a video shoot and play party at Mistress Eve’s.  I won’t go into too much detail on the shoot.  Other than it was the model’s first shoot and my first attempt at running the video camera.  I didn’t think it would be too difficult.  So when we got to the dungeon, D started setting up.  t & I got our food things set up and then went down to help.  We got everything ready and a quick bite to eat and we were off and taping some tutorials.  After that, we got into a scene that we also recorded.

We did our annual Christmas Shoot that creates our annual Kinky Christmas Card. We typically do a very involved suspension but this year we decided to do a shoot in honor and memory of Betty Page. We decided to redo the Betty Christmas Tree picture with our own twist and artistic license.  lil*j was Betty and it made her feel sad that she is gone. Betty was certainly an idol of lil*j’s! But we are certain Betty’s memory will live on for eternity. Anytime you take a shot of your lover or a friend….nude or in bondage, know that it was Betty Page’s inspiration and her sensuality that helped to create this genre.

Well, you read it here first.  If you read the post about Lochai and Madison Young’s show at The Center for Sex and Culture in San Francisco, it was posted here last week.   It was a really interesting Post about Lochai’s work called “Unspoken Bond”  featuring Lochai and Madison in Bondage.  The work that was talked about was an oil painting that is being produced portraying the two most reknowned names in many arenas of the Kink, Fetish & Bondage Art World.

That’s where I come in…….The Bondage Art World.  I think I just created a new term for it.  I am Nancy Peach Erotic Artist.  No, it’s not a fictitious name.  I was born with it and I wasn’t about to change it when I got married and I’m not about to change it because I am identified as being in this controversial world of Erotic Arts!!

I am proud of being able to take a stand and say this is Art, take a look!

I’m very raw and quite emotional today, more than usual.  That’s a funny statement, what is usual!!  Especially in this life of being close to the heart and soul.  Not only am I close to mine, but quite intimately close to my subjects.   I spend my life opening up on a regular basis, it’s a way of life if you want to capture the essence of someone.

My life is constantly challenging me to speak my truth and convey it on my canvases.  I have quite rapidly been confronted and provoked about my creative work.  I wonder what Picasso went through when he first was way off with his depiction of his subject!!

I’m thoroughly pissed off right now and angry about the closed minds, the quick spitfire opinions that feel that they have to be said because “doesn’t the artist need critiscm?? leadership???input???guidance???”"

This artist is making so many statements about the world of creativity, freedom of expression, politics, beauty & most importantly expressing what so many want to express, but can’t because of what the consequences might be for them in their life.  Someday I will talk about the repression I lived!! for so many many years!!

Today, I am here right now to really give anyone and everyone an opportunity to support this really important commUNITY??  Only a few short years ago, there were laws that kept us from our freedoms.  The freedom to transmitt erotic images on the internet!!!.

Today, I’m celebrating so many many freedoms I have.  Today is Friday and on Monday, December 15, Lochai and Madison will be hung at The Center for Sex and Culture.   The venue alone is one to support!!! They are here to speak so very strongly for our cause.  Sexual Freedom and our rights to speak, expose, promote, create and express this form of art.

Lochai is a man that I have not even met as of yet.  I have read most of what I could find about him and fell in love with his photography.  He is a man of many facets with strengths that he wears  quite honestly and open.  I found myself not doing the photography on this piece of work and to my amazement, not even being at the shoot in the Armory!!  My intuition and trust is right at my side at all times when I am practicing my art.

Today, I’m feeling really alive and excited,as this show comes closer to the day of the opening.  The way for me to really live life is to let go and let it all happen in conjunction with the universe.  The man and woman I have been living with for the past month have integrated their strong presence with me.  Deeply I feel and deeply I evoke my emotions upon this creation!  I’m the Alchemist.  Just here to provide the instrument that will record and project upon the viewer, their own feelings that are stirred up when they view the work!.

Come if you can!!  It’s next Friday evening at 6pm-10pm.  This Opening will be a mixture of so much that has contributed to this expression.  I have learned so much.  I have been keeping the details of the work quiet, as Lochai has requested that he walk in and be surprised. !

As the days, get close I will expose a little more, but not until after Lochai sees it will I publish the work.  Rope Bondage, Rigger, Bondage Slut, Japanese Erotic Art, Shunga and Nawashi.  Just a few words that have become an integral parts of my vocabulary as I have created the art for this show.

Lochai emailed me the other day with a bio that he wanted me to use for current information.  The words jumped off the page to me and I’m repeating what I read.  . . . . . . . . .

‘This painting is the greatest compliment ever paid to him.”

Hmmmmmm!  Feels so yummy.  I am blessed in so many ways through this process again and again!!

I have touched on this a little bit in a few posts that I have written recently but after reading Dacia’s latest post on both her blog and Bound Not Gagged I wanted to say something more about my personal reasons for being involved with the NYC Sex Bloggers Calendar.

Tess had come up with the idea to create the calendar which I thought was a great thing for all of us together to do but it was choosing who would benefit from the sales of the calendar that was most important. I didn’t get involved and do all of this work for page loads, name recognition or the media I have received. I did it because it was something that personally touched my life and I believed in which all basically started from an email I received from Dacia before the calendar was ever a thought.

I had written what I considered one simple sentence in a post but it struck her deeply. She sent me an email about what I had written and asked me some questions. She gave me some things to think about and boy did I. We have had several conversations since then on this and what I realized is that what I wrote was coming from something more personal in my life at that moment yet it was a blanket statement towards all sex workers. It also showed me that my only impression or knowledge of sex workers was from both the media and entertainment industry.

It was shortly after this that the calendar idea came up and Sex Work Awareness was chosen as the organization that would benefit. My passion and drive on this is because it is something I not only believe in but am actual proof of. Because of my life as a blogger it has given me the opportunity to meet and get to personally know sex workers. I was fortunate that I had someone like Dacia who spent the time discussing my views and knowledge of sex workers. I don’t think she ever realized what that one email would do for me or that I would not hesitate to email her for more knowledge. As this project went on Dacia would find herself the recipient of emails from me in my quest for more information about Sex Work Awareness and sex workers. I think we might have surprised each other in the end.

I also had women like Rebecca and Catalina in my life whom I saw first hand what can happen when the people around you are close minded and uneducated about sex workers. How the stigma associated with sex workers can affect their entire lives.

It was two days before Rebecca’s trip to NYC last month that she told me she would have to cancel because of what was going on in her life. She had been forced to leave where she was living with her family after being outed for being an escort. Tess and I worked our magic and made sure Rebecca joined us in NYC that weekend because as I said to Rebecca on the phone as we talked about what had happened, it was women like her that we were doing all of this work for. To be able to change the opinions of people and remove the stigma associated with being a sex worker. Rebecca was the classic example of one of the risks sex workers face in their lives.

I looked at my own life that was so similar in many ways to the life Rebecca and Catalina had with her families. We all were struggling to raise our children. Rebecca and I both belonged to the PTA and had been girl scout leaders. We never hesitated to volunteer at our children’s schools yet just as Rebecca was shunned once it was revealed she was an escort I know that there are many people in my community that would treat me exactly the same if my friendships with sex workers and fund raising for SWA was revealed. I would be stigmatized just for my association with sex workers.

By me writing one small line in a post and Dacia sending me that one email many things have resulted. I was one person who was able to see a different view and in turn put my energy into working towards others seeing the same.

Now just like Elizabeth did yesterday I would ask that you all also do something to help us make December “Sex Workers Awareness” month. You don’t need to know a sex worker personally to write about sex workers or show support for our calendar. As Dacia said:

I know that a conversation or an email thread with one person seems like a tiny thing. And throwing in $20 towards a calendar seems tiny too - but the sex worker activist movement is small, and every little bit counts.

This is a small difference and hopefully our contribution can help SWA accomplish their goal as outlined in their mission statement but we have to start somewhere and for me it stated with an email.

Mission Statement

We believe that all sex workers have a right to self-determination; to choose how we make a living and what we do with our bodies.

We aim to empower our diverse community by building the capacity of sex worker-serving and sex worker member-based institutions as well as the skills and resources of sex workers themselves.

We also conduct research about sex workers and the sex industry in order to better understand it, develop public education initiatives, and advocate for the rights of sex workers.

You never know when something you do or say can change someones views and opinions. A $20 donation to SWA when you purchase our calendar will go to helping SWA achieve their mission statement.

This show is centered around The Fine Art of Bondage.

The Center for Sex and Culture is hosting this Art Show that is featuring my latest work. The 8′x8′ oil on canvas painting, “Unspoken Bond” represents Lochai and Madison Young as the creators in the beautiful Fine Art of Bondage. I have invited Lochai (Bondage Rigger and Award Winning Bondage Photographer) and Madison Young (Award Winning Bondage Suspension Model) to present their performance art during the opening. The painting is a portrait that has captured their personalities and passion for rope. It is my largest painting to date for this series.

Please come and experience this wonderful night with us.

When the email arrived, my husband’s first reaction was to attempt some form of damage control. He drove to the house of a friend, and upon her answering the door, he was simply told to leave or the police would be called. He arrived back home very bewildered at the treatment he received, especially after being helpful and charitable to that person.

While I was emotionally prepared for the fallout, my husband was not. And oddly enough, he was treated more cruelly in public than I was. It was as if he were being held responsible for my choices by either allowing or condoning my activities. He became nervous leaving the house, afraid of running into someone we knew, and receiving that strange look. — Rebecca Deos

I work long days and sometimes even long nights and that often translates into a very tired Catalina climbing into bed with a very tired Marky D. Sade at midnight, my day beginning at 7 am when the kids get up.   As much as I’d like to have kinky sex for hours, the reality is, we have every day responsibilities and we need to do our thing and go to sleep.

I’ll be the first to admit it.  Sometimes I am too lazy for beautiful rope bondage.  (I’ll duck as Lochai and Graydancer throw books at me).   Thanks to the Under The Bed Restraints that were sent to me to try out and review, I can have my kinky cake and eat it when I’m too tired, lazy, and/or impatient for rope.  Yes, these definitely get the thumbs up from the bedroom of Catalina and Marky D. Sade.  In fact, everybody I know that has this system has given it a positive review.  I personally wonder how we ever managed without it.

They are a bit of a challenge for people like me to set up.  But I have a difficult time slipping into my corsette harness, so you know, like I said for people like me…  mechanically challenged.  Marky took the directions away from me, told me to get in the shower and get squeaky clean, and set it up for me while I was in the shower.  I returned to a nicely made bed in a tidied up bedroom, complete with candles and the Kama Sutra feathers and honey dusting powder on the pillow next to a blindfold.

He slipped the Velcro cuffs around my ankles and wrists, put the blindfold on me, and began to tease me with the feathers.  Soon feathers were fingers and before long he was using my new Lelo Gigi on me (product research never stops at Casa de Sade).    Soon I saw Heaven!

The Under The Bed Restraints are handy dandy.  You can easily take them with you if you go on a little naughty getaway and once you have figured out how to set it up, it’s really easy to do again.  The Velcro cuffs are very strong and even with all the thrashing and struggling involved in my journey to Heaven, they didn’t even begin to budge.  The system itself is very versatile - you can adjust the straps to be either on the sides (spread eagle) or end-to-end, or a combination of the two.  I personally like spread eagle with hands together.
